4th This Has been a beautifull day I went to James Pritchetss
this Morning and Met with the Building Committee in the evening &c
5th Sunday This has been a beautifull Sabbath day I have been
about home all day as our little Babe still Continues verry sick I do
not think it can stand such burning fever much longer as she has now
had constant Fever for two weeks past
6th I went to Henderson this morning I Borrowed for the Building
Committee $300 from the National Bank for four months and Paid to
John Green $273. 15 Ballance in full of note due him
7th I tried to Sow Orchard Grass Seed this Morning but the wind
soon got so high that I had to quit I planted some Irish Potatoes in
I the evening
8th I was setting out Peach trees &c this morning and sowing
oats in the evening It looks verry much like Rain again this evening

9th This has been another windiyhafter a heavy Rain last night
I set out to day 25 Hughes Crab 24 in the Field next Dans Cabin and
one in the lst rows of Genitens below the House I set 5 Washington
Cling Stone Peach in the lst Row of the Hughes Crab and 3 Linsleys
Superb at the Lower End of the row I also set out 5 Hoskinsville
in the Second Row also 3 Jeff Davis at the Lower End of the row I
set 1 Troths Early in the 3dlL row and 8 Seedlings I also set out 2
Troths Early in the 2nd and 3d Rows at the end next House
10th I went to the Walnut Bottom to day in company with G B
Martin This was a beautifull day
11th I was at work on Fence &c in the morning I was also at
Church me eting Elder Lacy Preached It is Raining again this
evening with a good prospect for a wet night
12th I was at Church this morning Elder Lacy Preached I wasI
V also at singing in the evening This has been a beautiull day Evrything
looks green around us and the Peach and other early trees are ready to
Bloom while we see the Small and tzymx tiny leaf putting forth once more
telling us that the winter is past and seed time is once more here the
Birds are carrolling their sweet notes but to me there is sadness in
Nature and its surroundings and to day as I wandered through the Grave
Yard and Stood above where Loved ones were sleeping I felt sad oh so
sad and lonely for as I walk the green earth in the early Spring time there
is a feeling that comes over me allways when I think of other days and other
friends that often calls the tear unbidden to the Eye and to day was one of
