needed and to day has been a damp Cloudy day I was at Church this
morning Elder Peters preached and went to my Sister Mary Anns
in the evening I found my mother verry sick and apparent old age is
beginning to tell on her It seems that all of the old People are fast
Passing away
24th Went to Henderson again to day There was nothing new in
the City
25th 26th 27th 28th I have been busy Hauling Corn and doing
farm work Generally during the week There has nothing of Interest
occured
29th Went to Henderson again to day to move my man Smith to the l
Bottom &c
30th Sunday To day ends the month This has been a pleasant
month and I have accomplished Considerable in the way of Building &c
December lst - I Began the month by going to Henderson This
was the Commencement of the Court of Common Pleas and there was
quite a crowd in the City
2nd I was in the Bottom trying to get 2 wells dug .
3d 4th 5th & 6th Hunting Stock &c A
7th Sunday I went to the Bottom this morning not exactly the
way to spend the Sabbath and I never feel right in Stealing the Lords day .
9th Went to the Bottom this morning The river is riseing verry
Rapidly but I concluded to risk my stock awhile Longer When I came
Home I found Adelia sick but about one Oclock ye had another addition
to our stock of Girls in the shape of a Girl Bawoy and judging the strength
of its Lungs by the way it cries she certainly is strong and healthy _
10th I have spent the day about the House &c
` _ llth About the House again to day The day has been verry warm
& Rainy .
