4th I was at sale of J S Crutchfields to day evrything sold well

March lst -· Sunday This has been rather a gloomy looking day
for the begining of March I went to Church this morning and have been
about the fire this evening ·
2nd Went to Henderson to day This was the begining of the
Circuit Court I understand Judge Cissell has a large docket for this
term I delivered to S M Burbank one Load of Tobacco as Follows
My Part Trash 355 2 Lugs 220 6 Good 315 7 Amt to $44.00 Phils
Part of the Load weighed Good 330 7 Lugs 215 6 3/4 Trash 175 2
Amt to $41. 10 I remained in the city all night at B F Martins
3d I delivered to Burbank a load of Naces Tobacco this morning
that weighed Good 325 7 Lugs 440 5 1/2 Trash 650 2 Amt to
$59. 95 Came Home in the evening
4th At work about the farm &c to day
5th I was in the bottom &c to day
6th Doing nothing in Particular
7th I was at Person Lattas Sale to day Evrything sold Brot fair
Prices but I expect the most of the Property was Bid in I witnessed
this evening what I have not seen in the Point for years a Drunken Babble
Men deprived of Reason who acted more like fit subjects for the Lunatic
Asylum than Sensible Men but I felt glad that the most of the crowd be-
longed to other neighborhoods I bought Six Head of Cattle and 2 Pair of
Gear for which I gave my note for $85
