"Fashion wears out more apparel than the man."
"Spot" is one of the best looking men in the class, and thinks so, too. He has an especial fondness for Louisville. Why, nobody knows. Spot is a good athlete, and especially apt at posing when batting. He started in school two or three years before the '12 class, but such a good class could never do without such a man. He has always been a good student, and is opposed to bluffing. He started in the Mechanical Department; it was too slow; nobody ever has to study there. He goes to church regularly, and is noted for his piety and benevolence.

"A proper man as one shall see on a summer's day."
The University depends on Bruce to raise the average in good looks up to passing. But, sad to say, our Adonis has been kept on a pedestal until he fears to come to earth. Studies never interfere with his college rduties; hut rushes around busier than any man on the campusmaking quite a striking figure in his tan raincoat and checked cap. If Bruce had lived in the olden days he would have been a knight, * but as it ishe is only a "sport." Everyone thinks he will he a good miner, but as some one said, "We hate to see him spoil that deah complexion!"
