Each student will be required to write out in long hand and explain all
' steps possible to be taken in each case, including the duties to be per- Bm

will be taught the actual use of the practice code of this and other bm
states, as well as the application of the common law precedure. pei
Many cases will be prepared setting forth facts upon which issues
will be joined. For the purposes of this work, court will be opened and b°'
in the contests in making issues, the practice of handling pleadings, sm
demurrers and motions of every kind will be experienced.
Contested equity cases will be made upon given statement of facts, th‘
students will be assigned as attorneys on each side of the cases, other of
students will act as special judges of the court. In each case, the TN
V attorneys will be required to look up the law thoroughly, debate their VA
cases before the special judges, and file briefs with same. The court _
will deliver written opinions. Students will alternate in this kind of tw

Actual controversies will be arranged and assigned for trial on T"
issues of fact before regularly impaneled juries made up of students,
when witnesses will be examined, depositions and other evidence heard, ME
juries instructed upon the law of the cases, arguments made before the S9'
court and jury, and all other incidents of a contested trial will be hade
Some of these cases will be prosecuted to the Court of Appeals. TB
Students will at intervals attend the courts of Fayette County Ca
which are in continuous session. Experience gathered there and in the CR
practice court of the College will give a good knowledge of the practical
part of the course of instruction. ele
Students who may desire to spend some part of their spare time in TB
the office of a practicing attorney, in order to gain some acquaintance we
with the office work and the manner of handling business by the active
