National Dairy Show Trophies and Scholarships.
During the past three years students of the Department of Animal Intel
Husbandry in the College of Agriculture have competed at the National
Dairy Show at Chicago for the handsome trophies offered for the best me
judging of dairy cattle by students of state agricultural colleges. These MF
trophies are as follows: the
A. Sweepstakes trophy offered by the National Dairy Show med
Association for the agricultural college team making the highest average tour
score in judging cattle of all the dairy breeds. Bm
B. Sweepstakes trophy offered by Hoard’s Dairyman, Ft. Atkin-
son, Wisconsin.
The National Dairy Show Association offers a first and second schol-
arship for the best and second best individual judging of all dairy breeds.
These scholarships may be used in defraying the expenses of the students
at any agricultural college in the United States.
International Live Stock Exposition Trophies and Prizes.
A trophyis offered for the best judging of heavy horses, beef cattle,
sheep and hogs at the International Live Stock Exchange at Chicago
each year, to be competed for by selected teams from American colleges
of agriculture.
A trophy is offered by the American Saddle Horse Breeders’ Asso-
ciation to the agricultural college student judging team doing the best
and most edicient judging of saddle horses at the International Live
Stock Exposition.
A number of scholarships are also offered at this Exposition for the
best individual judging of fat stock.
