Established in 1863 in Frankfort, Kentucky. These are the records of the First Christian Church in Frankfort, Ky. for the years 1803 to 1861, along with materials relating to the church's pastors.The first eighteen reels contain the church records including the minutes of the administrative board. There are also bulletins dating 1912-1961, and membership lists and directories from 1885 to 1959. Records from women's groups such as the Ladies Aid Society and the Women's Missionary Society are also present. These reels also contain filmed copies of the scrapbooks, photographs, family papers dating from 1803 which belonged to the Thomas family, and miscellaneous clippings. Three reels concern the church's first pastor, Philip Slater Fall. They contain his sermons, addresses, and tracts, along with correspondence, genealogical materials, clippings, and photographs. Seven reels contain the diaries (1866-1904), sermons, articles, and scrapbook of George Darsie, a later pastor. The last two reels contain miscellaneous pamphlets and periodicals.
