are grateful to him for his interest and fully believe with him that
such a conference would be beneficial to the University of Kentucky
even more than the most optimistic of us will believe.
The plan at Ohio State is to have one interested and active alumnus
from each county in the state present on the campus for a conference
usually held during the football season. At this conference the needs,
aims and plans of the university are explained fully to the alumni.
Each alumnus present is the guest of the University at a dinner or
luncheon and then a special section of seats are reserved for them at
a football game.
It is, in our humble opinion, an excellent plan and we are going

Around this time of the year we
all begin to wonder about Christmas gifts. We all are beset by the
problem of what to give. There
are probably none of you who do
not at times wonder just what you
can give to some former classmate
or college friend who has remembered you in the past. Why not
make it something unique? There
is nothing that would be more acceptable than a subscription to the
Kentucky Kernel. The price Is
only $3 and wc will do all the work
for you. Just mail In your check
with your name and the name and
address of the one to whom you
want The Kernel sent. Wc will
place him on the mailing list and
on Christmas morning he will get
a card from us stating that you
have remembered him in this way.
Wc made this offer last year and
several took advantage of it. It
resulted in the receiver becoming
interested again in his Alma Mater
and Alumni association and this
year every one of them is back in
the fold as active. Why not take
advantage of this easy way to remember your classmate or college
chum?
