Biography/History

Wendell Berry (b. 1934) is a Kentucky born writer, poet, essayist, and activist whose works focus on the theme of harmony with nature. Berry received both a Bachelor's and a Master's degree from the University of Kentucky and later taught creative writing at his alma mater (1964-1977; 1987-1992). His major works include Nathan Coulter: A Novel, Recollected Essays, 1965-1980, and The Broken Ground.

The collection consists of one Palaemon Broadside, number 20, of the poem The Wheel by Wendell Berry, which is dedicated to Robert Penn Warren.
