i Late Registration. Students entering the University after the
i regular registration periods will be charged an additional fee of Q
t $1.00 per day, the total not to exceed $3.00.
E Special Examination. A fee of $2.00 will be charged for a
  special examination in a single course.
i   Special Fees for Students in Applied Music
I, Students taking courses in applied music are charged the fol-
  lowing special fees in addition to the regular fees:
  $15.00 per quarter hour of credit. .
  $24.00 per quarter for organ practice for two hours daily.
  $4.00 per quarter for rental of a University practice room for
i two hours daily.
q $2.50 per quarter for Music 7, 8, and 9.
  Deposit for Military Uniform
  Each student taking basic military science makes a deposit of
" $10.00. This deposit is returned after the uniform and all equip-
ment have been checked in at the close of the school year.
. Fees for Correspondence and Extension Courses A
The fee for correspondence courses is $3.50 per quarter hour
and for extension classes, $4.00 per quarter hour.
__. Members of the armed forces who register in correspondence
{ courses through the Armed Forces Institute will have half of their
fees and the cost of textbooks paid by the Federal Government.
n Definition of Residence for Payment of Fees
~ 1. For the purpose of assessing fees, no person will be considered
eligible to register in the University as a resident student unless
he has resided in the state for twelve consecutive months next
preceding the date of his original enrollment.
· 2. The legal residence of minors will follow that of the parents
or legal guardians, except in the case of minors who have al-
ways resided in Kentucky but whose legal guardians are resi-
dents of other states.
3. No student shall be deemed to have gained residence privileges
‘ at the University by his mere presence at the institution. A
student once classified as a non-resident will continue to be
thus classified unless he can establish a change of domicile by
evidence other than his residence as a student.
4. Aliens who have received their first citizenship papers may be
classified under the foregoing provisions.
