GENERAL INFORMATION as
THE PLANT OF THE UNIVERSITY
The facilities of the University of Kentucky include the 106-acre cam-
1 pus and the Experiment Station Farm of 600 acres at Lexington, a forest
[ reserve and sub-experiment station of 15,000 acres at Quicksand, and the
sub-experiment station of 600 acres at Princeton. The buildings on the
E Lexington campus now number more than fifty. In addition to these per-
' manent buildings, the Universityhas erected nine temporary buildings to
provide additional space for the greatly increased enrollment. The loca-
tion of buildings is shown on the map in the front of this publication. Fol-
. lowing is a list of the buildings, with brief enumerations of the services
{ housed. ‘
ld ' Administration Building. In this building are located the offices of the
President, the Vice President, the Dean of the University, the Comptroller,
the Dean of Men, the Dean of Women, the Registrar, the Department of
Public Relations, and the University Personnel Service, the last including
the University Veterans Service.
Aeronautical Research Laboratory. This laboratory is designed for rl
X aeroplane motor testing. The laboratory is operated by the College of En-
On gineering.
Agriculture Building. The offices of the Assistant Dean of the College
of Agriculture and Home Economics are located in this building. The re-
mainder of the building furnishes classroom and laboratory space for the
departments of Agricultural Entomology, Agronomy, Farm Economics,
c Horticulture, and Markets and Rural Finance.
Agricultural Engineering Building. The shops, laboratories, and class-
rooms for farm engineering are located in this building.
Agricultural Experiment Station. In the Agricultural Experiment Sta-

ups   Alumni Gymnasium. In this building are located the offices of the De-
hat · partment of Athletics, the ticket office for athletic contests, and the men’s
gymnasium. 'The gymnasium is used for athletic practice. for basketball
games, and for classes in physical education.

The Anderson Hall. This quadrangle, made up of several rather distinct
