respective directors. These organizations appear at many university and

Choristers. The Choristers is a select group of mixed voices which
S- performs standard choir literature. Each year they present several per-
formances including a traditional program of Christmas music.

ty University Chorus. This organization is open to all university men
and women. The Chorus presents at least one major composition for
6- chorus and orchestra each year. _

30. University Symphony Orchestra

The University Symphony Orchestra is a student, faculty, and civic
t musical organization. The orchestra appears regularly in concerts. It also
li combines with the University Chorus in the spring performance of a can-
laf tata, oratorio or some other major choral work. Admission to the orches-
° tra is arranged by consultation with the director.
bi Participation in Musical Organizations
No student is permitted to participate in the orchestra, concert band,
glee clubs, or other musical organizations unless he has met all eligibility
re uirements for extra—curricular activities.
