These are genealogies written in 49 family Bibles in the possession of individuals living in western Kentucky (primarily Paducah) in ca. 1963. The materials consist of sections from Bibles containing family records. Some Bibles contain marriage, birth, death and temperance certificates, as well as obituaries. Included with a few Bibles are typewritten descriptions of family trees. The original owners of these Bibles were from the Kentucky counties of Ballard, Butler, Caldwell, Crittenden, Fayette, Graves, McCracken, Marshall, Shelby, Todd and Trigg; the Tennessee counties of Davidson, Henry, and Maury; and Northampton County, Pennsylvania.
