The T. H. Carson account books contain the business records of a tailor in North Middletown, Bourbon County, Kentucky. They consist of four ledgers.
T. H. Carson was a tailor in North Middletown. It was settled early in the nineteenth century and became part of the city of Paris, Kentucky. Carson was working as a tailor as early as 1832.
The T. H. Carson account books contain the business records of a tailor in North Middletown, Bourbon County, Kentucky. They consist of four ledgers. Three ledgers list names of customers, items of clothing, which he made, dry-good items sold, and prices paid. These three ledgers appear to have been used by Nelson S. Benthall. The fourth volume lists customers followed by a list of numbers which are very likely measurements. The cover appears to be marked E. H. Cardeirs Day Book.
This ledger contains an index in the beginning with names corresponding to page numbers for individual accounts. The front of the ledger has the name T. H. Carson printed on it. There are pages missing from the back of the ledger.
