The team climaxed this remarkable season with four
      great victories to win the championship of the National
      Collegiate Athletic Association tournament, making them
      the only team in the history of the sport to win the
      National Collegiate Athletic Association crown three
      times.

           The Board of Trustees congratulates Coach Adolph
     Rupp and the members of the 1950-51 basketball squad and
     wishes for them continued success.

     President Donovan submitted staff appointments, reappointments,
salary adjustments, leaves of absence, resignations, promotions and
other staff changes requested by deans and heads of departments.

Appointments

     Anne English, reappointed Instructor, Department of Music, ef-
fective March 1, 1951 through June.  Miss English is to serve during
the continued leave of Professor Kiviniemi,

     Paul Gunsten, reappointed as Part-time Instructor, Department
of Physical Education, for the spring semester, effective February
1, 1951,

     George L. Roberts, Jr., Instructor, part-time, Department of
Chemistry, effective September 1, for the year 1951-52.

     Jackie Lutes, Secretary, Department of Music, effective March
1, 1951, Miss Lutes is transferring from the Department of Main-
tenance and Operations.

     Dorothy S. Jenkins, Secretary, Kentucky Geological Survey,
effective March 1, 1951,

     Patton Galloway, part-time clerical worker, Bureau of Community
Service for four months, effective March 1, 1951l

     Edwin Heyse Dummer, Visiting Professor, Department of Library
Science, for the summer session, 1951,

     Jean E. Lowrie, Visiting Instructor, Department of Library
Science, for two months, effective July 1, 1951,

     Roger B. Potts, Draftsman, Kentucky Geological Survey, effective
April 1 through June 30, 1951, Mr. Potts has been working on an
hourly basis.
