Collection Overview

Biography / History
Major William K. Wall of Harrison County ran, as a Whig, for the House of Representatives in the 10th Congressional District in 1840. Wall lost to Richard French of Mt. Sterling, the Democratic Party candidate.
Scope and Content
The collection consists of a Whig election campaign address printed as a broadside by the Maysville Eagle, seeking to rally the voters of the district to the side of a new nominee for the 10th Congressional District, Maj. William K. Wall of Harrison County.
