Major William K. Wall of Harrison County ran, as a Whig, for the House of Representatives in the 10th Congressional District in 1840. Wall lost to Richard French of Mt. Sterling, the Democratic Party candidate.
The collection consists of a Whig election campaign address printed as a broadside by the Maysville Eagle, seeking to rally the voters of the district to the side of a new nominee for the 10th Congressional District, Maj. William K. Wall of Harrison County.
