GENE DEFILIPPO
Associate Director of

External Affairs
Gene DeFilippo is in his fourth year with the University of Kentucky Athletics Association and was recently promoted to associate director for external affairs.
DeFilippo oversees Uk's Blue and White Fund. During DeFilppo's tenure at UK, private donations to the Athletics Association have increased from $850,000 a year to more than $2.1 million. DeFilippo was also instrumental in fundraising to pay for the $1.26 million renovation of Memorial Coliseum and the new $600,000 scoreboard at Commonwealth Stadium. DeFilippo also oversees UK's Marketing and Promotions department and its licensing program, which ranks fourth nationally in the sale of souvenirs, grossing more than $490,000 annually in royalties.
DeFilippo, a native of Florence, Mass., joined the UKAA staff in lanuary of 1987 as assistant athletics director.
He earned his undergraduate degree and graduated with cum laucle honors from Springfield College in 1973. The following year, DeFilippo served as a graduate assistant football coach at the University of Tennessee, where he earned his master's degree in educational administration in 1974.
DeFilippo served as football offensive coordinator from 1975-79 at Youngstown (Ohio) State, then was an assistant coach at Vanderbilt the next three years. He moved from coaching to administrative assistant at Vanderbilt under Athletic Director Roy Kramer. After two years, DeFilippo was named director of athletics at the University of South Carolina at Spartanburg.
He and his wife, Anne, have three children  Christine, John and Mary.

BOB BRADLEY
Assistant Director of Athletics Student Services/Academics
Bob Bradley is in his 13th year with the University of Kentucky Athletics Association, coming aboard in 1977. He was recently named assistant director for
student services.
A native of Hornell, N.Y., Bradley supervises all academic affairs regarding the UK Athletics programs, including the operation of the nationally recognized CATS (Center for Academic and Tutorial Services). His expanded duties include supervising UK's career guidance counseling services.
In 1989, Bradley received special recognition as the University of Kentucky won the College Football Association's Academic Achievement Award, the only school other than Duke, Notre Dame or Virginia ever to win the prestigious award for the highest graduation rate among 1-A football schools.
Bradley graduated from Hornell High School and earned his undergraduate degree at Salem College in 1971. He earned his master's degree in 1972 from the University of Kentucky in educational psychology and counseling.
Prior to joining the UKAA staff, Bradley served as coordinator of career counseling and director of financial aid for the Lexington Technical Institute.
Bradley is single.
Larry Ivy is in his 14th year with the UK Athletics Association and was recently promoted to associate director for internal affairs. Fie had previously served as assistant director for finance.
Ivy, a native of Huntsville, Ala., joined the UKAA staff in 1976. He assists the director of athletics in all areas of the Association's administration, with primary interest in management of the business, accounting and ticket
operations.
Aside from those duties, Ivy serves as game manager for all UK home basketball games. He has also served as tournament manager for the 1985 NCAA Final Four, the 1982 Southeastern Conference Basketball Tournament and four NCAA Mideast Regionals (1977, '80, '84, '89).
Ivy graduated from Huntsville High School in 1961 and earned his undergraduate degree (1967) and MBA (1968) from the University of Alabama.
He is married to the former Lorain Darnell of Paducah. He has one daughter, Kim, 19.
JOHN BOSTICK
Assistant Director of Athletics Legislative
Services/Compliance
John Bostick is in his second year with the University of Kentucky Athletics Association as assistant director for legislative services and compliance.
Bostick, a native of Winfield, Ala., was named to his new post at UK on June 1, 1989. Prior to that, he had spent the previous eight years as an assistant basketball coach at Vanderbilt University under CM. Newton.
In all, Bostick was an assistant coach under Newton for 20 years (12 at Alabama, eight at Vanderbilt). He has spent 32 years as a coach on either the high school or collegiate level. His head coaching record in the prep ranks was 178-102 in 10 seasons.
Bostick, who earned his bachelor's degree from Florence State in 1957, earned 11 varsity letters during his collegiate playing days (four in baseball and basketball, three in football), which is a school record.
He is married to the former Betty Cotton of Florence, Ala.
KATHY DEBOER
Assistant Director of Athletics Non-Revenue Sports
Kathy DeBoer is in her fifth year as assistant athletic director and recently assumed the title of assistant director for non-revenue sports. DeBoer, who doubles as the women's volleyball coach, serves as UK's primary women's administrator as well as supervising the non-revenue sports.
In six years at Kentucky, DeBoer has led her Wildcats volleyball squads to three Southeastern Conference titles and two SEC Tournament championships. DeBoer, the 1987 Tachikara National Coach of the Year, has taken UK to the NCAA Final Eight in 1987 and the NCAA Final 16 in 1988.
DeBoer is active nationally and in the Lexington community. She served as chair of the UKAA United Way campaign in 1986-88. She has served on the board off directors off the Lexington YWCA since 1986 and as chair of the Associations strategic planning committee. She is a member oi the Lexington Professional Women's Forum and the board of directors of Citizens for Sports Equity, a Kentucky group formed to assist women in attaining positions in sports leadership.
DeBoer spent four seasons as volleyball coad at Ferris State College prior to coming to UK. She led Ferris State to a pair of Great Lakes Conference championships.
DeBoer received her bachelor's degree from I Michigan State in 1978 and her master's degree in  business administration at Kentucky.
She is married to Mark H. Pittman.
BARBARA DONNELLY
Ticket Manager
Barbara Donnelly is in her 15th year with the University of Kentucky Athletics Association. Donnelly, a native of Flatwoods, was named ticket manager for the UKAA in October of 1987. She had served as assistant ticket manager since 1984.
Donnelly began her employment with UKAA as secretary to Frank Ham of the Blue-White Fund office in December of 1975. She graduated from Russell High School in 1971 and owns an associale degree from Ashland Community College.
