Field Hockey Team Wins

R)R the third year in a row, the University of Kentucky women's field hockey team won the state championship with a 9-0 season record.
The opening match with Eastern Kentucky University proved to be difficult with UK defeating them by a score of five to three.
The next two games were whopping victories, Berea was beaten in a shut-out by 12 goals and Centre received the same treatment, 10-0.
The Centre game established a new scoring record for the women: Brenda "B.I." Inman shooting in six of the goals.
What problems Ohio University and EKU posed were solved by the offense with a 5-2 finish in both games.
With a 5-0 record, the team went into the tournament ready to resolve any doubts about their ability to retain the title.
