j mense sums of money were awarded by lot

Q l The plaintiffs say that by reason of
·‘ l the above facts and on account of the
T T manifold other violations of the charter,
each and every one of the drawings which
l took place at these so-called entertain-
ments was an unlawful lottery and the
‘ sale of tickets therein unlawful and a ·
fraud upon the charter and on the plain-
_ tiffs and on all ticket holders in said
._ Lottery and by reason of the premises,
‘ ` the said Public Library of Kentucky and
* said Bramlette and his said associates,
T T did unlawfully bet,game and wager against
the plaintiffs and did so win from each
// of the plaintiffs more than Five Dollars
