Financial Delinquency - » I l  `
The University expects the student to be financially responsible and not to be delinquent in financial obligationsito the University  
or to any department or division thereof, including room and board payments to sanctioned fraternal student organizations. Such j 
obligations do not include fines and penalties assessed against the student by other than University offices and departments. j 
Financial obligations that are not met within 10 days after the date due are reported in writing to the proper office. Obligations to , 
any division or department are reported to the office designated by the Vice Chancellor for Administration — Lexington campus.  
The appropriate business office notifies the student of the financial obligation. lf the student does not settle the obligation by the . 
date designated on the notice, he or she will, subject to regulations promulgated by the Vice Chancellorfor Administrat_ion-Lexington 3*  V
campus, be considered delinquent, and that office shall notify the University Registrar.  
Afterthe University Registrar has been notified that a student is delinquent, the registrar will not allow the student to register, request ,j. 
an official academic transcript, or transfer credits, nor will the registrar award the graduation diploma, until the Registrar‘s Office has  
been notified in writing by the appropriate business office that the obligation has been settled. _ [

_ HEALTH CARE  
For the regular fall and spring semesters, payment of the mandatory registration fee by full-time students entitles them to medical l if 
and mental health care at the University Health Service. Part-time students may pay the health fee during the first two weeks of the iii
semester, or use the Health Service on a fee-for-service basis. The health fee is voluntary for all students for the summer sessions. ., 
University of Kentucky Health Service, University Hospital and other University of Kentucky Medical Center programs assume no ‘ 
responsibility or liability for medical expenses incurred by students beyond those.covered by the University Health Service. For more

STUDENT ID CARDS `  
All students admitted tothe University (both full-time and part—time) are expected to obtain a student ID card. This is a permanent { 
card, which becomes valid each semester when fees are paid. The first ID card is provided without cost. The following information __? 
will help you understand your responsibility and how to fully utilize your UK ID.  I
· Your UK ID is the official identification for class attendance and tests, Student Employment Services, and student elections. A 
- · The bar code on the front of your card is your library account number. ~  
• By opening a “Plus Account" you may make purchases from Food Services (including vending machines and card accessible  
laundry), the UK Bookstore, and Kennedy Bookstore. You can buy tapes at the language lab,-pay breakage fees in the  
chemistry lab, or sign up for an aerobics class. ‘ fi 
. · When you live in a residence hall it will access your “Diner Account."   j
· It‘s your “key" in residence halls with key card access.  
· Present your ID at Health Senrices if you are a full-time student, or a part-time student who has paid the health fee.   ·
· Open a "copy account" and use card-operated copy machines. — -   `
· Purchase event tickets at the Student Center Ticket Office or Singletary Center for the Arts. A  
· Pick up football and basketball tickets and use your ID for entry to other UK campus events.  j"Y
· Rent camping equipment from the Outing Center in the Student Center. ·  
• Purchase movie tickets for the Worsham Theater. » ja  V
• Use the Seaton Center and campus swimming pools/recreational facilities.   i ‘
lf you lose your UK ID, report the loss immediately to the UK ID Office (257-1378), the Diner/Plus Account Office (257-6159), or (  
any food service location. Any financial charges/transactions made with this card are the responsibility of the student. A replacement  ?‘i·
ID may be obtained for $10 in 107 Student Center. After receiving two replacement ID cards, students must obtain authorization from V} 
the Dean of Students for further replacement. The UK ID is the property of the University of Kentucky and is to be returned to  ji;
the Dean of Students upon termination of student status.  gl,

PERSONAL EXPENSES (not payable to the University) _  
Books and Supplies. Range from $200 up, depending on the student's major field of study and schedule of classes for the jh 
semester. Students may use their Plus Account for purchases at the University of Kentucky bookstore. Plus Accounts may be  ii

Laundry. For students living in the residence halls and Greg Page apartments, laundry facilities for personal items are provided. ? 
_ Students activate the laundry machines through a card access system called the Plus Account. Students may establish a Plus Account . r. 
in any whole dollar amount at Student Billing Services. Local cost for this laundry service is comparable to that in any city. For more *
