The Letters subseries contains letters from authors, usually concerning the book where the letters were found. Notes and writings includes genealogical notes, masonic writings, and chemistry notes. Cards contains primarily Christmas cards. Notable items include a letter and notes from Thomas Kemp concerning his transcription of the Black Book of Warwick and a letter from the artist Van Deren Coke.
