The Augusta Stevenson manuscript contains the annotated manuscript of Tecumseh by Augusta Stevenson, pages 1-101.
Augusta Stevenson was an extremely prolific author who taught in the Indianapolis Public Schools starting in 1908. He wrote 400 books, most famously the series, Childhood of Famous Americans. Bobbs-Merrill published that series as handy orange-covered hardbacks with glossy slipcovers and a dozen or so silhouette illustrations in each volume.
The Augusta Stevenson manuscript contains the annotated manuscript Tecumseh. It includes 101 loose pages. Also included are letters from the Bobbs-Merrill Publishing Company and the University of Kentucky Library sending and accepting the manuscript as a donation.
