"King" Albert has been one of the high school hoop's most publicized players (A1A Chamberlain, Alcindor, McMillen, Da-ntley, Malone, Willoughby, etc). Nutshell: 205 pounds - 26 ppg last season -graceful and enthusiastic - as a player, can do it all - average student - likeable person - may want a big name college where the weather is good.
GENE BANKS 6-6 Senior [West] Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Also quite famous for prep player and many feel "a man among boys". Nutshell: 210 pounds - 25 ppg last season - super competitor - as a player, complete one and very powerful - excellent student -fine gentleman - Philly schools and Atlantic Coast Conference powers lead in recruiting race.
JAMES RATIFF 6-8 Senior Washington [Eastern] D. C. When you list the great ones each season, you can depend on one of them being from our nation's capital area. James continues our string of super inside players. Nutshell: 215 pounds - 23 ppg

Nutshell: 195 pounds - 26 ppg last season - can play anywhere on the floor - as a player, a "final four" talented star - average student - great attitude - rumor is that he will attend college in his home state.
WAYNE   McKOY     6-8 Senior Brookville [L. I. Lutheran] New York.
The "near-legen" had somewhat of an off year, on the court and in the classroom, but he'll be back. Nutshell: 230 pounds (and scouts hope the weight stays down) - 21 ppg last season - a natural center - as a player, a tough customer in the middle but must play hard all the time - marginal student - lives with coach - future greatness depends on desire and consistent defense.

Wichita [Heights] Kansas.  Can be
nation's best small guard - Nutshell: 170 pounds - 17 ppg last season -human jet and master press breaker -as a player, fine defender and improving shooter - excellent student -class kid - idol is "Clyde" Frazier.
TOM FREEMAN 6-2 Senior Lynwood, California. A dead-eye shot from the west - Nutshell: 175 pounds -18 ppg last season - fierce competitor -as a player, very quick and helps on the boards - good student - shares ball in back court with Willie Naull's nephew - U. C. L. A. leads race for grant-in-aid signature.
AL WOOD 6-6 Senior Gray [Jones County] Georgia. Premier player in the rising South at this stage. Nutshell: 180 pounds - 29 ppg last season - latest in line of Peach State's contribution to the big time - as a player, smooth and mobile, with excellent shooting range -good student - popular in school -appears head for the Southeastern Conference.
JEFF RULAND 6-9 Senior Lake Ronkonkoma [Sachem] New York. Big
time body and tools - hard workers. Nutshell: 225 pounds - 18 ppg last season - sound shooter is also happy to
pass off - as a player, constantly striving to improve - high quality person - pretty good student - probably will attend a Southern college.
PETE BUDKO 6-9 Senior Baltimore [Loyola] Maryland. Plays best in the big games. Nutshell: 200 pounds - 19 ppg last season - has great desire - as a player, can move for size and put it in the hole within his range - good student - dad was pro player - Atlantic Coast Conference interests Pete the most.
HERB WILLIAMS     6-9 Senior Columbus   [Marion-Franklin] Ohio.
Likes defense and getting on the boards - Nutshell: 205 pounds - 17 ppg last season - fine attitude - as a player, needs only to sharpen up at offensive end - average student - scouts hoping his weight keeps increasing - cinch for Ohio's Mr. Basketball.
DRAKE MORRIS 6-5 Senior E. Chicago [Washington] Indiana. Outstanding name - outstanding player. Nutshell: 190 pounds - 21 ppg last season - swings between forward and guard - as a player, a winner -marginal student - can sky and plays excellent one-on-one game.
