It includes six volumes of minutes, beginning in 1866 and continuing intermittently until 1943. There are also two volumes of receipts dating from 1920-1936; two volumes of disbursements for the same period; and an account book including both types of records for 1945-1951. Also included are a dues book, materials relating to arbitration of contracts, and some books of minutes of meetings of the union's Executive, Arbitration, and Strike Committees. Other materials include a transcript of a meeting between the union's Executive Council and representatives from the Louisville local in 1904, in which strike conditions were discussed, and legal documents from cases in which the local was a party.
