     Scope and Contents
The Nellie Stedman Cox scrapbook (dated 1829-1861; 0.3 cubic feet; 1 box) contains newspaper clippings pasted into an old ledger, which document current events politics, and public figures. The clippings consist of poems, articles, obituaries, and published letters. Notable people in the clippings include William Henry Harrison, Andrew Jackson, and Thomas Jefferson. Due to the dates of the newspaper articles, it is probable that Nellie Stedman Cox did not create the scrapbook herself.
