i The Friends of the Lexington Public Library will hold its annual spring luncheon

The University of Kentucky Staff Organization will conduct their annual membership
= drive during the month of March. The dues are three dollars and membership is open
I to all full—time or part—time staff (professional and non—professional). These dues
j will cover LSO sponsored events such as the picnic and the Christmas party. Non-
  members will be charged a maximum of $3.00 for each of these activities with an
j _ additional charge for any other LSO sponsored activity which requires an outlay of
j funds. PLEASE JOIN. The more members we have, the better LSO will be.

We need volunteers for the 2 standing com ittees of the LSO. The Staff Lounge
Committee is responsible for the cleaning and maintenance of King Library North
Staff Lounge 8 generally is made up of 4 people. The Social Committee is larger,
at least 6 people, and has the responsibility of planning the social events of
LSO such as the newcomers receptions, the picnic, the Christmas party, the retire-
ment party, etc. If you served on a committee last year and would like to be
involved again this yaer, we'd love to have you. We need people who are interested!!

VOLLEYBALL ANYONE? €
l The possibility of a weekly volleyball game was brought up at the meeting of thei
LSO departmental representatives. Provided there are enough people interested,
the LSO would check into reserving a court at Seaton Center at a set time each
week and cover the deposit for the court & equipment. Ideally, we need enough;
people for 2 teams. If you are interested in playing volleyball, please contact

The LSO will continue to sponsor the brown bag lunch programs which were such a big
