I Spraying Apple Trees. 5 York Imperial: Aipples smooth, of medium size, average about 3 inches in diameter. Well colored. A little scab, bitter rot and codling moth. Foliage in ine condition. ` s). Yield: 415 lbs. of iirsts; 59.25 lbs. culls. Total nirmber o·f culls, 296: ls. Affected with~codling moth. 3 ( 1.01 per cent.) _AHected with bitter rot ....... 146 (49.32 per cent.) Affected with brown rot ....... 7 ( 2.36 per cent.) · Affected with sdab ........... 31 (10.46 per cent.) Ben Davis trees sprayed same time as the York Imperial. Apples mostly. small and rusty, with some prominences due to weather. An indifferent lot. Foliage in very fine condition, though not as good as the York Imperial. Better than the average Ben LlS_ Davis sprayed with Bordeaux mixture. Yield: 109.5 lbs. of Hrsts; 23 lbs. of culls.
