Although justice favored the cause of the North, the South, being the \0eaker of the foes, aroused ;j)mpath9 in e^ery true Kentuckian's heart.  -    Kentucky, later, ^as the Jer in the true spirit of Reconstruction, and t\>as a great po-^er in knitting th brotherhood rudely severed b>) the CWil War.  -  - Therefore, let us follovJ v?orthj) example, as vie go out into this sordid and business-like -oJorld, into diverse fields of endeavor.
