Biography / History
Algernon Charles Swinburne (1837-1909) was an English dramatist, poet, and critic, whose major works include Poems and Ballads , Song of Italy, and Songs before Sunrise.
Oscar Wilde (1856-1900) was an English playwright and poet whose major works include The Importance of Being Earnest, The Picture of Dorian Gray, and The Ballad of Reading Gaol.

Scope and Content
The collection consists of a letter from Algernon Charles Swinburne to Oscar Wilde, The Pines, Putney, London. In the letter, Swinburne thanks Wilde for sending him a copy of Wilde's recently published Poems.
