JAMES He with whom I had these boyhood conversa- tions was Himself the Christ. Here in Jerusalem, the city which crucified Him, the number of His followers grows daily, and I remember that He said that if He were lifted up from the earth He would draw all men unto Him. 1, His brother, His companion, and now His humble follower, thank God that, though tardily, I came to recognise Him as the Saviour of mankind, and I daily pray for the spread of His kingdom until men everywhere shall honour Him as the Son of God and the Saviour of the world. 149
