                       BIOGRAPHICAL.

  James Baird (deceased), late of Vanover Precinct, was born in
Dtviess County, Nov. 16, 1835, and was a son of William Baird
(deceased) an early settler of this county. - He was brought up on
a farm, and received a common-school education. He was married



836
