In a memorandum from Jack C.Blanton, Vice President for Business
Affairs and Treasurer, dated November 28, we were informed that
effective December l, 1975 the University will have a KATS network
open for nationwide direct dialing. Department heads are requested ‘
to inform all employees who make long distance calls that all long
distance calls should be placed on this network. In the past all
long distance phone slips were sent to the Director’s Office. How-
ever, effective immediately each department head should nominate one
person responsible for keeping track of all long distance phone calls
made in their department. Each month the Director’s Office will send
a telephone billing to each department listing all telephone calls
made. They in turn will review, approve and return this billing to
the Director’s Office.
If your department did not receive a copy of Mr. Blanton's memo and
you would like to have one, please contact Helga Davit or Eva Cooper
in the Director’s Office.
