"If I have to walk, I've got a mule to'ride."
'' Bill'' rode a mule into this University early last Fall: He was just simply too fond of the Freshies at the UniversityJof Temi., arid to get over this affection he came to his sister State to complete his work in Mechanical Engineering. Although he has been with us only a short while, we have come to like him very much. Bill is the man to introduce the word "jelly-bean" into the society circle of the University. He practices what he preaches, too. He expects to work for the Exposition people at Knoxville for half a year, after which he will be with The Western Electric Co.

"A bundle of vivacity, and mixed with practical common sense."
'' Just look at me. You never would imagine that I've just been through a confab with the Dean, because I had gone to a perfectly good educational meeting with two women (married) and a perfectly strange man (a professor). Now would you? Goodness, I'm worn to a- fra?7le. I've been doing the social calendar lately, and these dances are hard on me. Am going to another tonight. But aren't they jolly? I always did like tall men. What are you laughing at? I know I am very short, but Bobby says This spring weather makes me feel good. I just love evei'3'body. Of course, I go strolling when I have time."

"None but himself can he his parallel.'' "Huss" is one of these jolly souls that make college life a pleasure. When it comes to athletics "Huss" is right there, but has anybody ever seen him doing the hobble race with :i skirt! Not a bit of it'' Huss'' is sadly lacking there. Where he shines most is in Mechanics when Prof. Frankel asks, "Explain the mechanics of the green grass," for "Huss" al-"avs knows the answer. Can't fool "Huss." If his name hadn't been "Huss" it. would certainly have been Benjamin Or Moses. lie makes the best stage "Sheeney" ever seen in these waters. He is one of the brightest threads in the banner of 1913.
