and Mr. Elmer Gilb, of Newport,
Ky., and Lexington were married
Friday afternoon at S o'clock at the
Calvary Baptist church. Rev. T. W.
Spicer, the uncle of the bride, of
Mayfield, officiated
The wedding was a beautiful af
fair and the attendants at the weddings were largely university students, friends of the bride and bride
groom.
The bride is the daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Carey A. Spicer, of this
city and is a student at the university where she Is a member of the
Alpha Xi Delta sorority. She is a
graduate of the Marjorie Webster
school at Washington, D. C.
Mr. Glib who was graduated from
the university in the class of 1929
is a member of the Phi Kappa Tau
fraternity and at the present time
is holding the position of a coach
at the university.
After the ceremony the couple left
for a trip south by motor and on
their return they will be at home on
Sycamore road.
