Arrangement is alphabetical by department or agency.
` Thess inventories are basic archival finding aids that I
include a brief history of the organization and functions of
the agency whose records are being described; a descriptive
list of each record series giving as a minimum such data as 1
title, inclusive dates, quantity, arrangement, relationships
to other series, and description of significant subject
content; and, if appropriate, appendices which provide such
supplementary information as a glossary of abbreviations and `
special terms, lists of folder headings on special subjects,
or selective indexes. _
The bulk of this material consists of report of serials
nmnmsgiving the location, agency or department name, serial
title, and records description.
Agencies and departments represented include: Agricul-
ture, Civil Service, Com erce, Emergency Conservation Corps,
- FERA, Federal Home Loan, Federal Security Administration,
Justice, National Emergency Council, NYA, Navy, Post Office,
Perry Victory Memorial Administration, Interior, ICC, VA,
Rural Electric Administration, Social Security, TVA, U.S. ‘
Railroad Administration, and Nar Department.
There are some miscellaneous agency, building, and room
reports following the War Department files.
