See Stars war: The Return of the Classic
After a year's absence from the schedule of events, the McDonald's Kentucky Derby Festival Basketball Classic is back! And better than ever!
This year high school All-Stars representing the South will challenge All-Stars representing the North, in a Battle of the Blue and the Gray jerseys.
The first shot of this Stars War wil be fired at Freedom Hall on Sun-
day, April 1,1984. Game time is 2 p.m.
Fourteen of the 22 committed to play in the Classic are Street & Smith Ail-Americans. Robert Lock, Ed Davender and Todd Ziegler, who are committed to UK; Kevin Walls and Mike Abram, who are committed to U of L, and Steve Miller, who is committed to Western Kentucky University, are just a few of the top players scheduled to clash in this exciting all-star game.
1984 KENTUCKY DERBY FESTIVAL BASKETBALL CLASSIC Sunday, April 1,1984 - 2 pm.
Don't miss this showcase of the nation's finest high-school talent! Tickets are available on a first come, first-served basis for $9, $7, and $5 at the Kentucky Fair and Exposition Center, at all Ticketron outlets, and at the Commonwealth Convention Center. Proceeds will go to the Kentuckiana Children's House, Inc., a Ronald McDonald House, 550 So. 1st Street, in Louisville.
