The Epsllon chapter of the Alpha
Gamma Delta fraternity entertained
Thursday afternoon with a dance in
the ball room of the Phoenix Hotel,
which waB one of the most delightful
fraternity affairs of the season.
It was a tea danco and the tables
wero arranged about the ball room,
oach decorated with a Hallowe'en lantern and a vase of buff and red roses
making the fraternity colors. Clusters
of yellow balloons with Hallowe'en
masks hung from the chandeliers.
Music was furnished by a saxophone
trio and delicious refreshments were
served.
The hostesses wero: Misses Martha
Varnon, Mary Hamilton, Laura Lee
Jameson, Myrtle Rose Smith, Clara
Whitworth, Lillian Haydon, Aiieen
Kavanaugh, Mary Gray Ashbrook.

CLUB IS ORGANIZED
Students of tho University who are
Interested in tennis met in Professor
Freeman'B room Monday afternoon
and organized a tennis club for the
purpose of using the four new courts
in front of the Civil Engineering
Building which will soon be completed. The name of the organization
was chosen to be the University of
Kentucky Tennis Club and officers for
the year were elected as follows:
Homer Reid, president; Lee Rector,
vice president, and Miss Doris Jen
nings, secretary and treasurer.
Membership in the club is open to
all students, members of the faculty
or employes of the University.
A
membership fee of one dollar a year
will be charged and only members of
the club will be expected to use the
courts. The courts will be ready for
use about the first of the week.

quietly solemnized last evening at the
Methodist Church of that city. The
bride was a Freshman in the University last year and has a number of
friends who extend their best wishes.
The bridegroom is pastor of the
Methodist Church in Flemingsburg.
