Rudert speaks four languages
A Fort Thomas, Ky., native with a GPA of 3.7, Cindy Rudert, is majoring in pre-med and psychology.
The senior is very active in such organizations as the Alliance Franzais, and organization for French speaking people, the India Association, Alpha Epsilon Delta where she served as vice-president and the official delegate to the AED convention in Pittsburgh, Student Health Advisory Committee, the VD Hotline Volunteer worker, and emergency room volunteer to the Med Center. She was also active in Links and Psi Chi where she served as vice-president.
Rudert speaks four languages: French, Spanish, Russian and Indian.
She has also done research work with cell tissue cultures and was sent to Paris, France to study tissue culture techniques at the Fon-dation Curie Institut du Radium.
Skeez to work on world food
Jerry Skees of Ronnieville, Ky., is a senior BGS-political science and ag-economy major.
His activities include president of the Patterson Literary Society, Societas Pro Legibus, ODK, Lances, Co-ordinating Forum World Food Crisis, particpation on a forum on obscenity and law, and an internship at Congress with Breckinridge.
His hobbies include public speaking, swimming and basketball.
While working with Breckinridge on the world food crisis, he realized that there was
more need for food than lawyers. So, he will continue with projects like Freed from Hunger in the future.
Stith may go to grad school
An ag-education major from Guston, Ky., Glenn Stith stays active with Aphla Gamma Rho by serving as vice-president and rush chairman.
He is also an active member of ODK, Lances, student senator, SCB Executive committee, Ag Student Council, and a UK cheerleader.
Stith hadn't planned on being cheerleader, but as a joke he was dared to try out, and, he made it.
Other interests include basketball, wrestling and swimming.
He plans to go into ag-business management or public relations in Kentucky. But beforehand, he will attend either graduate school or law school.
Stout to work with children
Nancy Stout, of Carrollton, Ky., is a junior early childhood and elementary education major. She wants to teach in the inter-city schools feeling it more of a challenge and more rewarding.
Her ultimate goal is to run a private summer camp for underprivileged children.
Her activities include president of Chi Omega sorority, president of Links, business manager of the Kentuckian, Kappa Delta Pi and Mortar Board.
Immediate future plans are to receive a masters in elementary guidance.
Wessell plans law school
The Williamstown, Ky., native, William Wessell, is a senior majoring in advertising and marketing.
His campus activities include ODK, Societas Pro Legibus, student senator at large, Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity and university year for action.
He enjoys tennis, swimming and stamp collecting which he has been doing for ten years.
He spent a year as a traveling consultant for his national fraternity.
His future plans include law school.
Weiner works at St. Joe's
Betsy Weiner is a senior nursing student. The Pikeville, Ky., native is active in Mortar Board, Committee to Revise the Student Code, Cwens, Links and the United Way Steering Committee.
She has also served as president of Alpha Zeta Delta sorority, vice-president of Panhel-lenic, and scholarship chairman of her sorority.
She was named outstanding pledge, outstanding active, a Phillips scholar and received a sorority scholarship.
Her interests are dancing, which she has undertaken for 12 years, music and reading.
She is a staff nurse at St. Joseph Hospital and hopes to go to graduate school.
