i Ithough LKD in the last few years has had wide campus participation, the 19th annual event lacked much of the enthusiasm witnessed in years passed.
The main event, the bike race was won out right for the second straight year by Sigma Nu fraternity. Many fraternities which have been annual participants didn't even enter, not to mention the lack of independent teams.
The Debutant Stakes scooter race, was won by the Chi Omega sorority team. Chi Omega's Debbie Harvey was chosen LKD Queen. The Queen contest was revived this year after the 1974 King contest was initiated.

The Ollieburger eating contest held at noon during LKD week proved its popularity, as it was the only event carried over from the previous year.
The most successful event was the Sigma Nu Beer Blast held on Friday afternoon. The crowd drank away the chills of an early spring day while listening to the sounds of the famous and ever popular "Exiles". 7f
