Central Heating Plant. This plant contains six steam boilers which supply
heat to all buildings on the main campus, to the Experiment Station, the To-

lm temperature production from coal of motor fuels, lubricants, and high grade,
’ smokeless, solid fuels as well as the base materials from which explosives,
plastics, and synthetic rubber may be manufactured. Oil shales and other
>ms carbonaceous materials may also be processed in this plant. The laboratory is
operated by the Department of Mining and Metallurgical Engineering.
Ex- Thomas Poe Cooper Dairy Products Building. The sections of Animal

by the Engineering College for additional drafting rooms and laboratories.

ng States Geological Survey offices and drafting rooms, the oHice of the Depart-

facilities for the Department of Physical Education and the College of Com-

Faculty Club. Formerly the Patterson Home, this house is now occupied
_a1 by the University Faculty Club.
Farm Service Building. This building houses the farm maintenance depart-
ment, the animal nutrition laboratory, various storage rooms, and shops for
?;> repair and storage of farm machinery and equipment.
n. Fine Arts Building. This building houses the departments of Art, Music, ·
I Dramatics, and Speech. A feature of the building is the air-conditioned Guignol
3 Theatre seating approximately 425 persons.
Food Storage Building. This building provides warehouse space for all
University food service units, complete facilities for processing of meats and
fresh vegetables, and storage of frozen foods.
