The Falls. (Printed verso reads: "The Ohio River makes a rapid descent over a series of ledges formed by Devonian rock, rich in corals and other fossils. In high stages of the water the falls disappear almost entirely and steamboats pass over them, but when the water is low the whole width of the river has the appearance of a great many cascades of foam making their way over the rapids. A canal, two and a half miles long, and costing $1,000,000 has been cut around the falls to assist navigation.") 2 copies
