. Absences due to officially authorized trips, such as those of
1 athletic teams; musical, oratorical, and dramatic organizations; I
    and University classes, shall be considered as being excused   E
1 absences. The faculty member in charge of an authorized trip t V (
t` l shall give to each student concerned a statement to present to his E.§ I
  · teachers certifying that the absence _is official. v 1
  No report of absences shall be required for graduate students. ]
3 Any undergraduate student whose standing on the work of the j
previous quarter is 2.4 or better, upon application to the Registrar, 1
l shall be extended the same privilege relative to absence as
` » graduate students. - 1
· Conduct. In issuing rules for the regulation of the affairs of ,
_ the University and the government of its students, it is not deemed ,
§ necessary to set out details. The University expects all students -
, i_ to hold to the strictest standards of honesty in all University work ·
t and to conduct themselves in a decorous manner, bearing in mind
‘ I, that their conduct determines in a large measure the reputation of .
K the institution.
_ The Marking System. Results of work will be recorded in s
. the Registrar’s Office as follows:
i A—Exceptionally high quality, valued at 3 points for each
l quarter hour.
  B-—Good, valued at 2 points for each quarter hour.
T   C—Fair, valued at 1 point for each quarter hour.
`   D—Unsatisfactory, indicates a deficiency and gives no points »
i but gives credit for graduation if with such credits the  
j student’s standing is 1 or more. »
  E—Failure, valued at 0 quarter hours and O points.
  _ I—Incomplete.
- X—Absent from examination.
1 WP—Withdrew, passing.
i WF—Withdrew, failing.
P A grade of E means that the work must be taken over in class
T to be credited.
A grade of I (incomplete) means that some relatively small
part of the term’s work remains undone, because of sickness or
other reason satisfactory to the instructor. This work must be
completed within one month after the student re-enters the Uni- g
versity if credit for the course is to be gained. The Grade I is
not to be given to the student whose work is below passing.
A grade of X may be changed by special examination within
one month after the student re-enters the University.
An extension of time for the removal of an I or an X may be
granted by the dean of the college in which the student is enrolled.
