  Subsistence. Advanced course ROTC enrollees receive an al-
1 lowance for subsistence in lieu of rations. In 1946 this amounted

3;;:   Elementary Course. The military department offers a two
de   years’ elementary course. The elementary course is required of
S iq   all male freshmen and sophomores who are citizens of the United
. “   States, over fourteen years of age, and who conform to the physical
mb ' requirements as prescribed by the War Department for units of the
1,;;   Reserve OfHcers’ Training Corps. \

elective advanced course of two years, including one summer camp,
