Halley family
Dr. Samuel H. Halley, the president of Fayette Tobacco Warehouse, purchased the stock farm Meadowthorpe in Lexington, Kentucky, in 1906. The family lived there until the end of the 1920s.
The collection consists of an address book and a calling card for a Mrs. Halley. The address book contains the names and addresses for acquaintances of the Halley family as well as a list of visitors to their estate, Meadowthorpe.
