Library Photocooying Study:
.The UK Library system has been selected to partic-
ipate in a study nnlibrary photocopying and inter-
library loans co-sponsored by the National Commission
on Library and Information Science (NCLIS) and the
National Science Foundation Division of Information
Science. The survey is being conducted by King
Research (Md.), November 23-24.
One part of the study involves keeping a detailed
record of Interlibrary loans--this will involve
- ILL in King, Agriculture and Law. The other part
will involve keeping a record of library photocopy-
ing performed by or for library staff of library
controlled materials (i.e. not inter-office memos,
but books and serials). Copies of this form will
be sent to all branch librarians and department
heads who have copying machines.
During this two day period, copies of the Character-
istic Form will be available from branch librarians
and heads of departments. All staff using the machine
to copy library material should record their use on
the form.
