Dear Fred:
I wish to extend my heartiest congratulations to you upon .
your selection as President-elect to the American Medical Association.
' h This is not only one of the greatest honors that can come to a medical
man, but it also involves great responsibility and sacrifice, not only
to you but in many ways to your family. However, I know you are not
only deserving of this honor but you will be a credit to yourself and
I the medical profession in carrying out these responsibilities.
I am wondering if you know about the death of Dr. Arthur
Stall, which occurred several weeks ago. The best I can learn he had
a recurrence in his pelvis, but the exact details are a little lindefinlte.
However, he went down very rapidly the last two weeks of his life.
It was good to see you in Cleveland, and I wish you to know
that you have my sincerest best wishes.
Very cordially yours,
