Brig. General Fred W. Rankin,
Office of the Surgeon General,

I Dear General Rankin:
The presentation of the Army—Navy "E" to the em»
ployes of Davis & Geck was a real inspiration to them and I am
convinced that both as a builder of morale and as a spur to
production the presentation of such awards is excellent. The
‘ manner in which you presented the award enhanced its value and
I cannot allow this opportunity to pass without thanking you
once more for the part which you played in it.
I hope that you will seriously consider our invi-
tation to visit our Research Laboratory at Stamford and the -
Lederle Laboratories at Pearl River. You have only to let us
know of any time that might be convenient to you and we will
see that you are given an opportunity to look into any phases
of the laboratory that you may think interesting or of value
to you.
With kindest regards and best wishes, I am
Cordially your ,
