_ Brig. General Fred W. Rankin, of Southern birth, educated in
Arts at Davidson College, in Medicine at the University of Maryland,
After fifteen years at the Mayo Clinic, he developed a great surgical
career at Lexington, Kentucky. With the onset of the war he became
Chief Consultant in Surgery to the U. S. Army, a guarantee that our
soldiers, who deserve the best in surgical care, will receive it.
