Dr. Fred W. Rankin,

Kentucky. ‘
My dear Fred:
Of all the congratulatory messages you have
received in the past week or more I am sure none
is more genuine or more from the heart when I say,
I am so proud of you.
I have watched your career with keen pleasure
since the old Maryland days , and have often said
I hoped to live to see the day when Fred Rankin would
be President of A. M. A.
If nothing prevents I shall certainly have my
wishes gratified by seeing you installed next year in
Atlantic City.
With wqrmest regards.
S' oerely yours,
H` /
